A song written in honor of the children who lost their lives during the Civil Rights Movement, Dr. Kevin P. Turner, Director of the UAB Gospel Choir created beautiful tribute called, "What I could Have Been". A song written about the four little girls (Addie Mae Collins, Cynthia Wesley, Carole Robertson and Denise McNair) who lost their lives in the 16th Street Baptist Church bombing on September 15, 1963 in Birmingham, Alabama. Each adult female singer represents one of the four girls and gives them a voice to a generation denied the opportunity to know them.
