Is There Historical Evidence for the Resurrection of Jesus?

Earlier this week I had the honor of doing a brief teaching on the historical evidence for the resurrection.

In this video I presented a shortened version of the “Minimal Facts Argument for the Resurrection” drawn from the work of Dr. Gary Habermas and Dr. Mike Michael Licona. I highly recommend their book: “The Case for the Resurrection of Jesus” for more information on this subject.

It’s an easy read and packed with great content. In the meantime check me out in this video which includes my 15-ish minute presentation on the historical evidence for the resurrection.

Shoutout to my Pastor Tony Clark and the Calvary Chapel family for the opportunity!

Adam Coleman: Jesus Comes to the Barber Shop (Frequency Conference Recap)

In this episode Adam Coleman talks about his recent trip to Philly to attend the Frequency Urban Ministry Conference. Not only do we get into insights gained at the conference, chopping it up with other “urban apologists”, etc. but Adam also walks the listener through an encounter at the barbershop during which Greg Koukl’s techniques from “Tactics” came in handy. Check it out.

Jesus Fought Injustice, He Did Not Join It —Rev. Dr. William Barber “Story of America”

Rev. Dr. William Barber offers a Biblical reading that calls for civic courage in the face of corruption, injustice, and abuse of power. Speaking to The Wild Goose Festival (2013), an annual gathering of Christians in the mountains of North Carolina, Barber responds critically to the fusing of the Christian faith with Republican party political doctrine, and questions those who “speak so much about what God said so little, and so little about what God said so much.”

Faith in Jesus

Preaching on Matthew 14:22-33, Anthony Carter reminds the congregation that there are no extraordinary men and women of God, there are only those who determine to believe the word of God. Praise God that, “we might lose sight of Jesus, but Jesus never loses sight of us.” Used by permission of The Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.
