Second Ebenezer (a church already known for great music) will be hosting a concert in honor of their Pastor and First Lady’s Anniversary. Neighborhood Energy Efficiency Day (NEED)
Saturday, November 12, 2011- New Prospect AME Church in Detroit
NEED is a neighborhood event focused on implementing a solution that will help people become better energy consumers. Teams of weatherization experts will go to more than 100 homes to educate consumers about energy efficiency and install money-saving equipment, free of charge. The goal of NEED is to provide budget counseling, energy education and weatherization to a select community.

The Warmth With Wings is a partnership with the Detroit Red Wings that will expose attendees to THAW’s key messages while making a call to action for support.
Hallelujah for Heat
Saturday, November 19, 2011 – Second Ebenezer Church
Hallelujah for Heat is an inspiring gospel concert held at one of Detroit’s famed churches which will feature Vickie Winans and Dietrick Haddon, as well as other home-grown talent. More than 3,000 guests are expected to attend and tickets will be provided free of charge. Attendees also include Detroit’s leadership from churches, key neighborhood groups, community leaders, corporate and media executives.
Customer Assistance Day
Monday, November 21, 2011 – COBO Center
At DTE Energy’s signature customer assistance event, customers will be offered case management solutions, energy-efficiency education, and on-site distribution of assistance by THAW, raised during the Week of Warmth to pre-qualified customers. More than 5000 people are expected to attend.
