Pastor William H. Murphy, III
Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, the city known as Motown and Hitsville, U.S.A., it’s no surprise that Pastor William Murphy, is an incredible singer! Ask any gospel music lover about the smash-hit gospel song, Praise is What I Do, and they’ll tell you this incredibly anointed song has changed their lives. They often say it had to be written and sang by someone who truly has a heart for God. What comes as a surprise to some, is that this gifted singer/songwriter, is also an awesome preacher.

Pastor William H. Murphy, III, comes from a lineage of preachers, affectionately known as the Murphy Dynasty. The Dynasty began with his grandfather, the elder statesman, Dr. William H. Murphy, Sr. who has pastored in Detroit for over 50 years now. The anointing flowed to his father, Bishop William H. Murphy, Jr. who has pastored in Pontiac, MI, for 20 years. There seemed be to no escaping the anointing to declare The Word of the Lord and to lead God’s People, as Pastor Murphy, III, has led The dReam Center Church of Atlanta, one of Atlanta’s favorite places to worship.

The grace to declare Gods Word was passed down to Pastor Murphy at an early age. He acknowledged his call to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ as a senior in high school, and was ordained as an Elder in the Lord’s Church under his father’s ministry, at the young age of 23. Pastor Murphy is a faithful, and celebrated son. Pastor Murphy has served both, Dr. Murphy and Bishop Murphy’s ministries well, and was influential in shifting both churches from the traditional ‘devotion’ at the beginning of the service, to what we’ve come to know now as ‘praise and worship’. Pastor served both ministries in every other capacity possible. He’s served as the custodian, the Bus driver, the Minister of Music and as an Executive Pastor. The list goes on and on…but the moral of the story here, is that Pastor has been faithful over another man’s ministry, and now God has given him charge of his own.

Pastor Murphy and his wife, Pastor Danielle, relocated from the Detroit area to Atlanta in 2001, to serve Bishop Eddie Long and The New Birth Missionary Baptist Church. While there, Murphy traveled the world ministering in song and preaching the gospel until he and his wife answered the call to Pastor on September 13, 2005.

The dReam Center Church of Atlanta opened her doors on January 15, 2006. Pastor Murphy has seen the young ministry transform lives while going through the arduous process of growing a ministry. Truly an anointed man of God, Pastor Murphy walks with a trifecta anointing of Pastor/Teacher, Intercessor and Worshipper.

Pastor Murphy is a man in authority, but is a submitted son, who remains under authority. He values proper connection, and has served the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship, founded by Bishop Paul S. Morton Sr. He currently serves as the General Overseer of Worship. He also is a part of the Association of Independent Ministries founded by Bishop I. V. Hilliard.

He and his wife, Pastor Danielle, affectionately called Pastor D, are the parents of William IV, Paul Christian, David Benjamin and Keilah Lauren.
Pastor Murphy is currently working on two books, “Praise It What I Do” and “I Expect A Miracle!” as well as the release of his fourth solo project entitled “The Song Of The Lord” which is a collection of prophetic songs.

Matthews Memorial Baptist Church (Live Stream Video)

Welcome to Matthews Memorial Baptist Church! We are happy to have you join our loving church family. We stand ready to help you in any way we can to make you feel at home. You will find we are a warm, friendly, and caring congregation that is willing to be taught by the Holy Spirit as we constantly submit to the will of God through prayer in the name of Jesus Christ.

Please, as your humble servant, I urge you to make the church part of your life. It is for people who are not perfect, people like you and me. Most of us are here because we need help in fighting the temptations that line our daily avenues of life. Our service of worship is a time for us to reach out in prayer (which is thinking on the highest level) for the help we need to overcome our weaknesses and fears. Here, the love of God resides, the sweet communion of the Holy Spirit is rejuvenating and refreshing, and Jesus Christ is our Eternal Redeemer. We are a high-spirited group of people who believe that prayer and Bible instructions are essential; congregational worship must be empowering, and the observance of the New Testament ordinances (Communion and baptism by full immersion) is faithfully exemplified.

Matthews is an active church with much to offer for your spiritual growth and development. We have worship service at 7:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., with Sunday School at 9:45 a.m. As a new member, please join the New Members Class in the sanctuary during the Sunday School hour. At 7:00 p.m. each Wednesday, we have Prayer and Praise followed by Bible Study. For those who cannot attend on Wednesday evening, we also have Bible Study at 12:00 noon on Wednesday and at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. We look forward to worshipping with you!

Again, welcome to Matthews Memorial Baptist Church. As your faithful and humble servant, I strongly encourage you and your family to regularly attend and participate in our church worship services, our fellowships, and our church ministries. Your spiritual gifts, talents, and stewardship are needed here at Matthews, as we seek to carry out our God given mission of evangelism.

Submitted with a Pastor’s Love,
C. Matthew Hudson, Jr.
Senior Pastor

New Prospect is the Church Where the Spirit of Unity Abides. It is my desire and prayer that God would send men, women, boys and girls that are willing to carry out God’s vision. My God-directed vision for New Prospect is to display love, unity and fellowship among the family members. God has called us to be “bright lights” in the world and especially in the community we serve. We are to impact things we must do and God has given us the resources and the energy to do them. We do this by carrying out our mission which is D.E.E.P.
