On Nov. 22, 2012 Pastor Corey Brooks began living on the roof a vacant motel across the street from his church on South Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. He pitched a tent and vowed to stay until he raised the funds to buy the building. Pastor Brooks plans to build a community center in its place.
