Westboro Baptist Supreme Court Victory, Right To Protest Anti-Gay Agenda at Military Funerals OK

[ad] The case decided Wednesday is Snyder v. Phelps (09-751)

Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito was the lone dissenter in the ruling that should upset many. It is really unfortunate how readily we allow hate to spread. Seems to me if they Supreme Court can allow a so called church to protest a military funeral, then they should also be allowed to vote and pass prayer in schools. Oh wait reminding a bully that God is also watching them might make them change their ways and not grow into adults who use intimidation and fear to get their way. Now if all those kinds of people went away where would America be?
They can call it First Amendment Rights all they like however this is just hateful and harmful. I thought that after a while this groups 15 minutes of spotlight would fade. However it doesn’t seem like they are willing to go away that easily. Well I feel like I have given them enough press for one evening. I leave you with a comment from Justice Alito whose thoughts I must say I agree with, “outrageous conduct caused petitioner great injury, and the court now compounds that injury by depriving petitioner of a judgment that acknowledges the wrong he suffered,” he said. “In order to have a society in which public issues can be openly and vigorously debated, it is not necessary to allow the brutalization of innocent victims like petitioner.”
Everyone have a Blessed evening and try your best to take care of one another, not harm one another.

  1. Its a pity that these people behaved in this fashion and were, in a way, rewarded. I don’t care what it says in the bible or what you believe to be true, it is never christian to be that disrespectful and hurtful to another human being.
