Update -Bishop Kenneth Moales, Sr Arrangements

The Home-going Service for Bishop Kenneth Moales, Sr. is scheduled for Monday morning at the Arena at Harbor Yard.
[ad] “It’s going to be a phenomenal event,” said Larnell Satchell, a spokesperson at the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit, where Moales served as pastor for 42 years. “The mayor’s office has helped. City officials have helped. And we’ve gotten support from organizations across the country to make this event.”

Bishop Moales died of a heart attack Monday evening, a day before his 65th birthday.

The funeral will begin Monday at 10 a.m., concluding three days of ceremonies.

At the Prayer Tabernacle on Saturday, Moales will lie in state from noon to 6 p.m. A worship service will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday in the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit, on Union Avenue. That afternoon, there will be a viewing at the cathedral from 3 to 9 p.m., while a “Celebration of Life Musical” will take place from 5 to 9 p.m. The membership will be in official black attire, Satchell said. On Monday, Moales will lie in state at the Arena at Harbor Yard starting at 8 a.m. The membership will be in white attire.

Floral arrangements can be sent to Morton’s Funeral Home, 25 Margaret E. Morton Lane, Bridgeport. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Cathedral of the Holy Spirit or Love Christian Academy.

Our condolences to the Moales Family.
