Kevin P. Turner and University of Alabama Birmingham (UAB Gospel Chior) Release “What I Could Have Been” In Honor of the Four Little Girls Who Died in the 16th Street Church Bombing (Live Video and MP3)

A song written in honor of the children who lost their lives during the Civil Rights Movement, Dr. Kevin P. Turner, Director of the UAB Gospel Choir created beautiful tribute called, “What I could Have Been”. A song written about the four little girls (Addie Mae Collins, Cynthia Wesley, Carole Robertson and Denise McNair) who lost their lives in the 16th Street Baptist Church bombing on September 15, 1963 in Birmingham, Alabama.

Each adult female singer represents one of the four girls and gives them a voice to a generation denied the opportunity to know them. Performed by the UAB Gospel Choir, Kevin Turner director & composer. Vocals: Chelseay Blades, Stacy Wills, Jasmine Ty’ree’

13th Annual Super Bowl Gospel Celebration February 3, 2012 (Video)

The 13th Annual Super Bowl Gospel Celebration will be taped before a live audience at 7:30pm EST on Friday, February 3, 2012 at Butler University’s Clowes Memorial Hall in Indianapolis, IN.

Wayne Brady will host the celebration. Scheduled performers include CeCe Winans, Fantasia, Donnie McClurkin, Hezekiah Walker, Wess Morgan, Natalie Grant and Verizon’s How Sweet the Sound 2011 Winning Choir, Salvation and Deliverance Church Choir.
