Eph. 5:1 tells us to be imitators of Christ. Jesus used the scriptures to fight the devil. Eph. 6:10 tells us to put on the whole armour of God. The sword of the spirit is the spoken word of God. This an offensive weapon to destroy every strategy the enemy may throw at someone. Faith filled scriptures will cause the enemy to leave the scene defeated and demoralized. It is important that what ever you are speaking reflect the character express in the New Testament. We are employing Angels by our spoken word, either those of God or the devil. 2Kings 6:15-17 tells us there are more with us than against us. As you know when Satan was kicked out of heaven (called the third heaven) he took a third of the Angels with him. Col 1:13 tells us we are delivered from the powers of darkness. Luke 10:17-20 tells us we have authority over all the power of the enemy. We are not to entertain the devil but resist him and he will flee. Knowing who you are is important.
