He who ignores discipline despises himself, but whoever heeds correction gains understanding. Proverbs 15:32
Ask not for victory, ask for courage. For if you can endure you bring honor to us all, even more you bring honor to yourself. From the Decathlete
Good morning everyone, Yesterday, I suffered through a migraine, and did absolutely nothing. Not necessarily by choice but because there was nothing I could really do. The thought I had planned for yesterday came from my interpretation of the sermon of a visiting pastor at my church on Sunday, so here goes. Hope has the possibility of being unfulfilled. People often times get Hope and Faith mixed up, meaning that a lot of the time one perceives thier hope as having faith. When hoping for something, it still has the possibility of not happening, having faith is the belief that something will happen and it happens for a particular reason. Faith is considered the substance of things hoped for. In short one who hopes for something to happen tends to be lazy, while those who have faith tend to see what needs to be done and puts forth effort in order to make a certain thing happen (faith is action). There is nothing wrong with having hope, but by faith one will see and experience so much more in life. Faith is in war with Hope, some may ask how? Well think of this, we speak of what we hope for but seldom do people speak of what they have the faith to believe will come, or what has already been given.
May your day, be blessed… K. Pennix
